Is hope for a sober tomorrow possible?

Entering recovery is a very scary and frightening process because YOU are so used to using drugs or alcohol to cope with life, and deal with YOUR problems. Coping skills and the ability to communicate effectively have become a thing of the past. We know what it is like to wake up dope sick or hung-over hoping and wishing not to drink or use, but do it anyway so we don’t get sick. We know what it is like to lie cheat and steal from our loved ones over and over again. We have stayed up for days on end tweaking out, not eating, sleeping, and slowly using our minds. Coming down the mountain is the worst feeling in the world, and all of us went to any length to get more & more & more. Some us lost jobs, and drained the back accounts, we went into debt, and became homeless. Jails, and institutions became a luxury to us, so we could get a few days or weeks off the street Some of us maintained well, and didn’t loose anything per say, but were so miserable inside, suicide seemed a good idea. Addiction affects all walks of life, from the street addict panhandling for change to shooting heroin, to the cooperate lawyer who can’t stop drinking.

Having reached a point of despair, and desperation, we cried out for help. We were miserable and hated ourselves and everyone around us. Many of us didn’t believe it was possible to get sober but couldn’t go on any longer. We weren’t sure how sobriety was going to work, or even of it would. We took a chance on hope that it just might work. Why not, our lives had become destructive, and we had no friends, no one to turn to or talk to.

We have all been there and walked in your shoes. There is hope, and withgreat assurance, and witout a shawow of doubt there is hope for a sober tomorrow and the grass is much much greener on the other side. We are millions of people all over the world that have been there done that, and have felt just as you do now. If we can do it so can you, and it all starts with that initial cry fro help. If you are at this point in your life what have you go to loose by trying. IF you don’t like it, we will gladly refund your misery.
